Why not make safari have the ability to use the "address autocomplete" feature and the ability to compose emails with bullets and numbers?? If you use the debug menu in safari and set it to mozilla, those features then become active while using safari. Why just not make this the default behavior with Yahoo webmail while using safari. Since you are support Safari 2.0 plus? I do not want to have to set the debug menu everytime as that would defeat the purpose of showing poeple using Safari.

If you are going to sniff for browsers, why not sniff for "Gecko" instead of "Firefox"? This way, many Gecko based browsers will be fully functional on the site.

Better yet, feature sniff...

Why not focus on rendering engines rather than browsers?

Sorry if this ends up being a duplicate, but my previous post didn't seem to go through.

Why not have graded support based on the rendering engine rather than the browser? What does it mean for Mozilla Suite and Netscape users to lose A-grade support? Do they become a quasi-X-grade, though their capabilities are, in fact, known?

@Map the Maps

We test extensively with Firefox on both Mac and Windows operating systems (OS). Our experience is that Firefox is largely consistent across OSs, and therefore we expect the experience in Firefox on Linux to be largely consistent as well.

Firefox on Linux' slice of visitor traffic is one factor in the decision to offer X-grade support to Linux, but please review the FAQ section above (question #1) to see other factors in play.

Thanks,
Nate

I don't see Linux (+ Firefox) in your support table. Does it mean that it is totally negligible in your visitors?
